Replacing Negative Thoughts with Biblical Truth

Don’t just dismiss negative thoughts, actively replace them with biblical truth. Identify verses that address the negative thought and recite them repeatedly, allowing God’s word to reshape your mindset.

Romans 12:4-8

If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Everyone has received a measure or seed of faith
Seed must be planted in obedience
Watered, nurtured and exercised – it grows
Without faith – it is impossible to please God or receive divine thing

Concerning Spiritual Gifts

4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

- Nine gifts of the Spirit
- Holy Spirit desires to work regularly in at least 1 of the 9 supernatural ways in a “SPIRIT-FILLED” believer
- The Holy Spirit must fill a person before they can carry on regular continual supernatural ministry
- Biblical faith and action are synonymous
1 Corinthians 14:3-5
3 But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort. 4 Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I would like every one of you to speak in tongues,[a] but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues,[b] unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.
Supernatural Guidelines
- The benefit of spiritual gifts in the church is for EXHORTATION – EDIFICATION – COMFORT
- Full purpose of the spiritual gifts to bring people face to face with the reality of the invisible God
- Gifts are activated through faith
Discerning good and evil
- Mature saints – those who have their spiritual senses exercised to discern both good and evil
Includes discerning between
- Our thoughts and thoughts of Christ
- Our imagination and revelation
- Prophetic revelation and personal convictions
- Sensing from our soul vs receiving revelation from our redeemed spirit

14 Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.
Romans 12:6
6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;

- Lack of knowledge about the gifts and scripture
- Fear of making mistakes, being embarrassed on offending people

Definition of a Stronghold
- False ideas and distorted thoughts will work to create a “stronghold” in your life and mind
- Spiritual strongholds in the mind is made up of a collection of wrong thoughts and thoughts that disagree with God and agree with Satan
- From that protected place in your mind – Satan can INFLUENCE your minds and hearts
Hebrews 11:13ff
13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.
Faith is THAT time between the Promise And the Fulfilment..
The in-between time you walk by faith… UNTIL… you receive
Faith is the Evidence of Things not seen…
It is NOT the Evidence of Things that do not exist
