Somewhere Between Lost and Becoming
Song: The Climb by Miley Cyrus
I chanced upon this song, and interestingly, it speaks to the stage I am in right now.
Honestly, I feel lost — unsure of what to do or where to go…
People say you can go fast when you are alone, but the question is: go where? If life is like a GPS, what destination should I even key in? I am clueless…
I asked God, but He was quiet. So what do I do in the meantime, while waiting? And how long am I supposed to wait? Again, there was only silence.
My heart feels shattered into pieces… how do I even begin to pick them up? People have told me about “Kintsugi,” but I didn’t quite buy into it. Then again, how do I piece everything back together? And do I even want to?
I have no answers — just too many questions with none in sight. I feel helpless and dejected.
Lyrics:
I can almost see it
That dream I’m dreaming but
There’s a voice in side my head saying
You’ll never reach it
Every step I’m taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shakin
But I gotta keep tryin
Gotta keep my head held high
There’s always gonna be another mountain
You’re always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an up hill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
It ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
The chances I’m taking
The struggles I’m facing
Sometimes might knock me down
But no I’m not breaking
It’s hard to know it
But these are the moments
That I’ll remember most yeah
Just gotta keep going
And I, I gotta be strong
Just keep pushing on ’cause
There’s always gonna be another mountain
You’re always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an up hill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
It ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
