Clearing for Baby Room

Finally we manage to get down to clear the room for our baby to come. It was quite a mess to begin with 3 bikes, a sofa bed, glass display cabinet and a wardobe inside. So you can imagine how crowded it was. Not forgetting all the items that were lying all around the floor as well.

My hubby spent the whole of Saturday clearing it up, as he was doing alone, so you can imagine the progress was rather slow. Still he managed to get most of the items cleared as what we wanted. Seeing him clearing shelves by shelves, layer by layer. It suddenly struck me with this verse…

Treasures in Heaven (NIV)
Matthew 6:19-21
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

As we were transferring the items from glass display to the living room, I finally understand what this verse is trying to say. Looking at all the items from the glass display, I had a thought – All these were no longer important already, considering a new born baby that is to come definitely has the highest priority.

Next is off to Baby Fair this coming Friday for more buying… 🙂
