A New Chapter Begins

I woke up around 4 a.m. this morning with something stirring in my heart.

After much consideration, I decided to begin migrating from Design Workz (DW) to Art Of Life (AOL).

On the surface, it seemed like a simple administrative exercise—informing clients, updating my designers, notifying vendors who have journeyed with me over the years.

To them, it might simply look like a company name change.

But to me, it means so much more.

Twenty-one years.

A journey that began in 2005.

Am I going to close Design Workz?

Honestly, I don’t have an answer right now.

As I worked through the transition, one of my designers asked, “What about the email?”

That simple question made me pause.

I checked the Design Workz website and realised the office line was still listed. So I made another decision—to terminate the office line, changed the contact number to my mobile, and created new email accounts for Art Of Life.

Just like that.

A few clicks. A few decisions.

What looked like a snap of the fingers was actually years of memories quietly unfolding behind the scenes.

The practical side was easy.

The emotional side… not so much.

Someone once told me, “As long as you have peace in your heart.”

I paused and wondered…

Perhaps peace doesn’t always come before the decision.

Sometimes, peace comes after we have the courage to take the first step.

And maybe this morning, at 4 a.m., wasn’t about closing a chapter.

Maybe it was about quietly beginning a new one.
