The Passing of a Well Respected One…

 In Love & Family

I had an early SMS at 7am, normally I won’t check my HP before 8am as I don’t want to disturb my morning with work related issues. However, this time I decided to check on it and… It was the message that I dreaded, the passing of Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

I don’t normally follow news on the politics or anyone involved in it. So my knowledge to who is holding what position or rank is limited. Still no one can deny that you don’t know Mr Lee Kuan Yew. He reminded me of my grandma when she was critically ill in ICU with a ventilator as well, fighting for one’s life. Shortly after my grandma passing, they introduce the Pioneer Generation Card (PG) though we knew my grandma will be able to benefit from it. We are even prouder to know she was from the pioneer batch, the generation that had fought hard for their future generations to come. I don’t know who is right or who is wrong, however, I do know they are our dear elderly that we respected. Sadly, Mr Lee Kuan Yew can’t live to see us celebrating our National Day and the SG50 that is being setup for this purpose.

All I can say is – May you rest in peace…
